BRIEF BIO:

Oviemuno Obololo is an astute lawyer in active legal practice, with over a decade wealth of experience in legal practice. His endeavors comprise of advising and representing clients mainly in corporate and commercial transactions. He also represents clients extensively in courts, both at trial and appellate levels, and in various Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms. His area of specialties includes Commercial Transactions Advisory, Banking and Finance, Real Estate, Intellectual Property, Debt Recovery and Insolvency, Mergers and Acquisitions, Taxation, Employment Law, Medical Law, Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Interestingly, too, he engages in human rights advocacy and public interests’ litigation and public advocacy.

Oviemuno has successfully advised clients on several commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, project finance, mortgages, real estate acquisitions etc. He serves as company secretary and legal adviser to several companies in Nigeria. Moreover, he has a high success rate in litigating matters on behalf of clients. Alongside the incumbent Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN), Mr. Obololo was a member of the team of lawyers who successfully represented the Federal Government in the case of the $5.2 billion fine imposed on MTN Nigeria, by the telecommunications regulatory body, Nigerian Communications Commission. In addition, he was a member of the team of lawyers that successfully defended the electoral victory of the ANPP in the Governorship Elections Tribunal and State and National Assembly Elections Tribunal in Zamfara State in 2011, early on in his career.

Worthy of note, Mr. Obololo graduated from the University of Benin with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), with honours, in 2008, and he was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2010. He worked briefly with the law firm of Adetunji Orisalade & Co. before joining Efere Ozako and Associates. In the aftermath, he left in 2012 to join Festus Keyamo Chambers, a leading law firm in Nigeria, where he honed his competence as a consummate advocate and solicitor. He left in 2016 to set up the law firm. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and Amnesty International.

He is currently the Managing Partner at the firm.
